What is Trees For Our Children?

The Vision

TFOC sees a future world that is safe from global warming, and full of biodiversity for all generations.

Mission Statement

TFOC seeks to nurture endangered and threatened plant species in the highest quality, most protected environments available. These plants will also help offset human industries carbon output.

TFOC’s Strategic Goals

Trees for our Children will help preserve Earth’s biodiversity through the planting of trees and other plant species on the safest land available. TFOC believes that strategic partnerships with American cemeteries is the most cost effective means for accomplishing our vision and fulfilling our mission statement. Unlike the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and other national parks and preserves that will be threatened with the world’s rising need for oil and other resources, cemeteries are sacrosanct institutions. Not only are cemeteries respected as the resting place for our dead, but they are backed by massive trust funds that ensure the perpetual care of cemetery grounds in perpetuity. Endangered trees and plants planted on cemetery property will be carefully attended to as part of cemetery upkeep. TFOC seeks to work with the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) to determine which threatened species will likely survive in our currently available habitats in the Midwest United States.

The founders of TFOC are Heston Glenn and Tony Mantova. They can be reached at TonyMantova@treesforourchildren.org or hestonglenn@treesforourchildren.org
